Woman in Contracting - Terms and Conditions of Entry

ENTRANT ELIGIBILITY 

Entry is open for individuals that: 

  1. Are a female employee of a CCNZ Contractor Member that either is a member of the Auckland branch or has a permanent branch office in Auckland. Entries are not open to individuals who are CCNZ Associate members. 
  2. Are normally resident within the Auckland region and if working on a project outside Auckland, intend to return to the Auckland region on completion 
  3. Are able to demonstrate industry experience to date 
  4. Are engaged in the civil contracting industry 

JUDGING AND AWARDS PROCESS 

  1. All entries must be completed and submitted solely online byFriday 8 August 2025, 12pmvia the purpose builtportal. 
  2. Entries will be short-listed and finalists advised 2 weeks after entries close. A judging panel will then interview the finalists. 
  3. Finalists are required to provide an electronic original size (high resolution) headshot photo. This photograph will be used for the awards presentations. 
  4. Entry submissions will only be considered if entered into the online portal i.e., each question is answered in the portal. For the avoidance of doubt, PDF submissions will not be accepted. 
  5. Entry submissions must address each of the areas on which the entry will be judged and, in the order outlined is preferred. 
  6. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  7. Nominees shall not contact the judges for feedback on the judging process or results. 
  8. Nominees must be available to attend the Auckland CCNZ Hynds Construction Awards EventonSaturday 8 November 2025
  9. Nominees that meet these criteria may also be selected by the judges from the entrants to the Outstanding Individual of the Year, Apprentice of the Year or Young Engineer of the Year awards. 
  10. CCNZ Auckland Branch reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions, or issue binding rulings, on any matter not included in the terms and conditions. Such decisions shall be final. 
  11. By entering the Awards, the entrants consent to the Sponsors being permitted to use the winners’ names and photographs, from the Event, for future marketing promotions for the period limited to 12 months from the date of the Event. Please note that if the Sponsor wishes to use the winners’ details and Event photographs for any other purpose other than to celebrate a win of the Sponsor’s categories at the Event, it must obtain the winner’s prior written consent.
