NOTE: The following are the entry requirements for the Technology and Innovation Awards.
ELIGIBILITY

A previous entry can only be entered into future awards if new information is available.

Entries are open to all CCNZ Contractor Members that are either a member of the Auckland Branch, or a member of another Branch with a permanent office in Auckland. Entries are not open to CCNZ Associate Members.

The main entry area is between Warkworth and Pokeno, however innovations outside this area can be entered with the proviso that: Judges will need to visit an Auckland office or connect online to interview relevant parties. You will need to use ingenuity and technology to portray entries in a way that allows the judges to understand and mark the merits of the entry without a site visit. This could include photos, drone videos, 3D imagery and client participation in person or by video. Entries delivered by an Auckland Branch member, but located outside of New Zealand, may be eligible. Please contact aucklandevents@civilcontractors.co.nz with a description of the project and the level of involvement of your Auckland Branch prior to completing your entry – these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The decision on eligibility will be final and no correspondence will be entered into once the decision has been advised.

Awards are open for innovations that have been implemented or substantially developed in the period 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025.

Entries need to clearly show who the entrants are, regardless of the submission being individual or joint.

An authorised person from the individual or joint entry is required authorise the declaration upon submission of the entry.
CLARIFICATIONS

CCNZ Auckland Branch reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, or issue binding rulings, on any matter not included in these terms and conditions. Such decisions shall be final.
JUDGING AND AWARDS PROCESS

All entries must be completed and submitted solely online by Friday 8 August 2025, 12pm via the purpose built portal.

Entries will be short-listed, and finalists advised 2 weeks after entries close. A judging panel will then interview the finalists.

Entrants agree to the judges verifying entry claims either with the entrant or other involved parties.

Any demonstration locations and representatives of the entrant must be available for pre-arranged and agreed appointment times for judges to meet with the entrant during the judging period.

Entries that meet the criteria may also be selected by the judges from the entrants to the other Technology and Innovation awards categories.

A minimum of four original size (high resolution) photographs are to be supplied. These photographs will be used for the awards presentations. Additional photos may be supplied at the entrant’s discretion.

Entry submissions will only be considered if entered into the online portal i.e. each question is answered in the portal. For the avoidance of doubt, PDF submissions will not be accepted.

Entry submissions must address the questions on which the entry will be judged and, in the order outlined is preferred.

Additional evidence to support each entry question may be provided at the entrant’s discretion.

The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Entrants shall not contact the judges for feedback on the judging process or results.

Representatives of award finalists are required to attend the Auckland CCNZ Hynds Construction Awards Event on Saturday 8 November 2025.

By entering the Awards, the entrants consent to the Sponsors being permitted to use the winners’ names and photographs, from the Event, for future marketing promotions for the period limited to 12 months from the date of the Event. Please note that if the Sponsor wishes to use the winners’ details and Event photographs for any other purpose other than to celebrate a win of the Sponsor’s categories at the Event, it must obtain the winner’s prior written consent.
